I've used vapor as a side project API. For anything new and only on Apple ecosystem, its simpler to just go with SwiftData and CloudKit though.

Looks promising but the license, Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives is pretty limiting..

Great interview with author China Mieville who's also working on a new book.

Awesome project :-)

I think the missing ingredient here is a way to export the tracked activities, but this looks like it was fun to make!

Born in 79 so I'm either X or millenial - don't really care. I'm nostalgic about the times when tech was sought out and less pervasive. This recent article[1] really made me nostalic about the "goold ole days".

The "boring" days.

Anyways, I feel less sorry for myself and more empathy for younger generations.

Growing up has always been challenging, before school shootings, and online bullying..

Now you can't escape the call(s) without it implicitly being interpretted as ghosting.

We just need LAN parties again. Gee-wiz it's not rocket science.

Maybe just scheduled outages for the internet to force people to unplug?

Rolling outages. As a feature.

I can't be creative without sleep. My dreams rarely make sense, and I sleep less as I get older as the author mentioned, but the little rest I do get is impactful on nearly every aspect of my life in work, exercise, mood, etc.

An article was trending on here recently about how our brains reset with sleep[1].

Great work and nice site. Add generic midi so patterns can be mapped to any voice!

Got any examples of bad practices they’re sharing, or just needed to share a snarky comment?

Mentos and cocacola or maybe vinegar & baking soda variant could be safer. I'm sure kids would have fun with this. Loved launching bugs(unharmed) in my nova payloader as a kid :-)

They tend to be protective breed like a cute Rotweiler. Seems harsh to label any of these breeds as aggressive when it stems from human behavior or deliberate training to make aggressive.

Extending something built-in instead of adopting a bloated leaky abstraction?

Heresy!

Happy to see this and imagine this with htmx could be clean minimal and maintainable. Front end bloat is ridiculous imo

Time to upgrade m1 ultra I guess! M1 ultra has been pretty good with deepseek locally.
