We deployed a project called boomurl.com to allow anyone to publish content and BOOM - get a URL with just an email. Since anyone can upload content, people DID. All kinds of phishing ensued - which made Google Site Safety flag the site as a "social engineering site". This short article describes what we did to fix the issue and avoid it in the future.
Looks like Cloudflare copied https://boomurl.com which I published a few weeks ago. It is possible they were working on it independently, but the timing is funny. Anyway. https://boomurl.com does a lot more and gives you a permanent URL for free.
I created a useful (I hope) tool for non-developers who don't want to deal with creating accounts and remembering passwords. They just want to publish some content (text, html md, pdf, jpg, etc.) and BOOM - get a URL. It is called https://boomurl.com
I then create an MCP and created a GPT that knows how to publish created content straight from the browser - so if you want a landing page, or form stood up without leaving ChatGPT (or other LLM) you can do it easily.
