FTPing files to `~/public_html` was the best... Miss those days.

> Nah, cricket is pretty analogous to baseball.

goes on to use the same term for multiple game actions/objects.

Nah. I ain't buying it.

Signed,

This is why I primarily play Old School 93/94 and other non-rotating, niche formats.

The player bases are a lot more "chill" overall, despite still being attracted to playing their best.

We did the opposite.

Once the source texts were found, we changed them all to short sequences of home row keys.

Everyone began typing at 300+ wpm.

The primary selling point of unix and unix-like operating systems has always been composability.

Without the ability to string together the basic utilities into a much greater sum, Unix would have been another blip.

I am so used to sed-style, regex powered find/replace, that this use admittedly never occured to me. As a result, multi-cursor seemed mostly useless outside of pair programming that I never do.

I will have to try it out once it lands in neovim just to see if I can wrap my muscle memory around it.

There's a config variable and a cli flag to disable.

That seems reasonable to me.

Since you asked... https://thenethervoid.com/

There isn't a whole lot there currently, since I'm pretty slow to post. I'm working on some deck analysis pieces currently and have some community-focused articles in draft form on my laptop.

Webrings were cool, and I wish I could find some for my own niche hobbies that were curated by dedicated parties.

I also miss Guestbooks, but know that they'd just be a cesspool now.

My mtg site is kind of one of those. I use a static site generator, but I wrote the html templates and CSS myself to match the aesthetic I wanted.

I have robots.txt configured to keep it mostly unmolested, but I don't think it's fully unindexed.

That said, it's not very evocative of 90s web style. I do not miss those days (despite being the owner of a webhosting/design company at the time).

My mom is a hoarder.

It's not ADHD, it's an anxiety disorder. The two things can coexist, but the underlying cause of the hoarding [in most instances, definitely with my mom] is anxiety related to "losing" the items.

This is why you see hoarding triggered by loss so often.

The news report linked in the article has this to say:

> The driver, Zampella, was trapped in the ensuing car fire, the CHP said. He died at the scene and the passenger died at a hospital, authorities told NBC4 Investigates. Details about the passenger's identity were not immediately available.

It's been something like two decades since I last set up a network installer, but iirc, there is a dnsmasq tutorial for pxe booting online.

That used to be the only way to install Linux on apple hardware (think original iMacs here). You could likely find some archived docs there.
