In this political climate, saying that people in the US should speak English to help communication is not very intelligent. I'm kinda okay with a not very intelligent professor being removed from duty :P
If the table of contents was dozens of pages long and you did it just so your clients could stop using the copyrighted book, I think they would have a case.
