I created a Google developer account with a separate email due to warnings like this. Then Google closed it because I left it idle too long and I didn't get the warning email. Sometimes you can't win.

Thanks for writing this up! I have a similar setup, largely based on your earlier post. I'm looking forward to trying out some of these ideas.

Do 16Hz pulses make much difference? I found conflicting information and haven't yet tried it myself.

What do you use to get the data into influxdb? I'm using collectd but it doesn't gather a lot of useful info.

Here's a very good video to help visualise what happened. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW6lAwLy_Os

Hardly "almost the same place", it's ~6500km away.

Depends on the car, mine (Polestar 2) uses regen braking regardless of whether one-pedal driving is selected. The consensus seems to be that coasting is slightly more efficient but barely enough to make a difference.

I do the same thing. I wondered why I hadn't received any breach notifications for a long time, I don't remember seeing a notification of this change.

In my previous job writing a naval combat system (not Aegis) I figured that I couldn't prevent warships from existing, but I could make the combat system better, safer, easier and less error-prone to use which would ultimately reduce the likelihood of people being killed inadvertently. But I totally respect people who choose not to work in defence.
