I've moved to VS Code after almost 20 years of Emacs. Couldn't been happier.

Spent a little time hacking hotkeys to match my Emacs muscle memory and that's mostly it.

Now I have a debugger that's actually easy to use, ability to run the test case under the cursor in one click and support for Jupyter Notebooks. However, still missing tab completion.

I was in the market for cheaper sbc with npu and ended up using orange pi.

Raspberry pi with ai hat was basically useless as i was not able to convert my neural networks to halio npu format.

The software looked horrendous and felt, but it ended up working surprisingly well

I work in AI and I second this emotion.

People wildly overblow upsides, make wild predictions, cherry pick results etc.

I can't read headlines like "Why the fact that some teachers are using AI to check homeworks means that there would be no teachers required".
