The state of California is using him as a witness for their lawsuit against Amazon. Amazon lawyers are trying to discredit him. Amazon is not suing him directly but they have discovery rights

In a constant intereest rate environment the bonds' market value will tend towards par value the closer they get to maturity

not only that but it's the exact same top-comment subthread that appears at the top of literally every story involving corporate comms. I wonder if it's the same people every time or if there's a constant influx of new commenters who feel strongly about corpspeak.

The timing on this post is pretty funny considering Twitter is experiencing a major outage right now: https://twitter.com/twittersupport/status/163279294226274713... (probably wont load because twitter is experiencing an outage, here's what it says:

"Some parts of Twitter may not be working as expected right now. We made an internal change that had some unintended consequences. We're working on this now and will share an update when it's fixed.")

> Those who jeer & mock are necessarily on the sidelines and not in the arena.

What's this based on? I'd imagine a lot of the people jeering and mocking are actually working on building products

I would. You think someone's gonna snatch it off my head or something? I wear 300 dollar noise cancelling headphones at stare at my 1000 dollar phone on the bus every day

I don't think this is true at all. Maybe I'm vastly underestimating how good these AIs are or soon will be.

I recently listened to the Vorkosigan saga, ~15 books all narrated by one person (Grover Gardner). Across these books there are probably 100 different voiced characters, and some of them show up in one book and then don't show back up until 5 or so books later. They each have their own voice and the voice is consistent throughout the whole series.

Is this something you think AI is capable of, or will soon be capable of?

A priori, I think the idea of someone buying a prominent company and releasing internal communications about controversial decisions of the past is super interesting. Is it unprecedented?

It's a shame that he's choosing to go about it in this way. Releasing things in a slow drip via two uhhhh lets say highly polarizing pundits is bad for transparency. Everything people are seeing is first filtered through and framed by these two people. Wouldn't it be better to simply release the raw data all at once and let people comb through it? I know he says he's going to do that later, but why not now?
