It is also a difference in culture, americans tends to praise themselfs for every small things as a big achievement. In other countries one would not even consider this as an achievement, just a standard iteration to explore.

For me as well the first content is strange, that "I've invented subscription". It is basically just applying an existing pattern from not-so-much-different other field?

indeed amazon prime is the same, gym subscription is the same etc etc. Not sure what justifies the "no one ever done it"

Honestly I've never liked americans because of arrogance and the way of dealing with things, but the Communist-China really unites all democracy as it is a nightmare utopia. Can't imagine anybody reasonable wants to give more power/influence to a country that destroys all differences (in minorities), killing the languages, traditions, old structures everything traditional. There is even less value there than in US, money is the god, and who is a cheater is the smart. The rule is by force.

Did you see that the government hired thugs to beat up it's own people in HK? (and after used the police directly to do this?) It's said if a small irrelevant country is doing this, but if this becomes the standard of a global power, well I don't want to be nearby.

I haven't found anybody actually who would care, only for recent nationalistic voices. If that would be lowered, they wouldn't care less.

And even for those who "cared" I've explained, that imagine yourself as a Taiwanese, who had and always will have a better life than any mainlander. Would they want to have a dictator above themself who beat them up like they did with HKese? So far, I've found no mainlanders yet who would still insisted to take them over. (of course personally, in chat it might be different)

It is absolutely scientifically ok to reject GMO, since they decrease variety and after x years of abundance in a year a superbug can destroy it all.

In case of GMO it is a play with the unknown (health, stability), it is a risk against a somewhat cheaper food. In case of vaccine it is still a play with unknown, but there the risk is against another risk not just money. If the virus would be less deadly much less people would have taken it. And the other way around as well, would be more deadly people would queue up instantly.

It is not as black and white as you describe. stupid vs smart people as you say it.

And by the way, this is called common smartness. Everybody is susceptible for different thing everybody is resistant to different things so the whole word is hard to take on.

Better example might would be with LEGO, not everyone who plays LEGO is genius, but you can definitely be creative with what you have

Meta-pk-Facebook = Meta-previously-known-Facebook

would be better, because in case of the Meta-not-Facebook, 'not' might be strong enough to remember that way.

So apple cannot export the 'pedofil' image search to China?

... or just really nothing good happening on the religion side of China.

it was the same with GWT (google-web-toolkit) it looked nice and many jumped to the bandwagon. But when something didn't work as expected you had to know a lot about debugging javascript (the internal work of javascript) and guess about the generation logic from java and think backwards. After all, you had to know more (then simply js) for debugging! And of course if your boss wanted something custom..

That is a huge-huge difference if they do it secretly, or if they do it announced.

If they get caught doing secretly this in China that would be a big blow. But if they are doing openly and it is known that the government provides the hash, they can wash their hands.

Not sure why you are so aggressive. If you have worked for any reasonably big company you know that the official language does not necessarily matches the truth (and sometimes has 0 relation). I did not say any conspiracy, but even on the link you have attached Brendan says that you should look up the meaning of 'constructive dismissal' if I recall, that means the view you want to force on others is half truth at best.

Edit of the previous comment: "which does not *necesarily* relate to the real reason of the separation" .. ok this word was left out

That is not quite true, DonHopkins only quote about the technical details of the separation, which does not relate to the real reason of the separation. But it is telling what lead to it.

Even if it is possible in other ways as well today, this is a black pattern of going down step-by-step.

When it will be when people will say no? These are all small steps only.

I'm not sure how abortion relates to this.

But genetically-modified food could be. By living in the US I'm not sure how OP can avoid it, as it is not labeled. So there you go with a long term exposure with unknown effect.

I hope people who don't take vaccine also ignore bio-engineered food. Wait it's not labeled in the US. So much about being scared of long term effect...

I would add that the lack of religion might also contributes to the chabuduo in China. As earning money overwrites everything over make things proper (or with pride). Also as the population is supersized the parazite behaviour can survive much better than in smaller places. This might can be compensated with the pointing system in the world of internet thou.

Anyway I don't think it's an overgeneralization. It is probably not the case for space rocket, but chabuduo also means the taped-together-bikes, the messy meat shop, driving the other side of the road, even if invisible following the promises standards etc. You meat with this every day guaranteed.

If somewhere than in Germany people are following the rules, tidy their environment etc. very very far from China.

Just take one example of the blind guide tiles. In Beijing and Shanghai I've already lost counts how many times it leads to an obstacle like cable post. In Germany, there would be not even one case even in country side...
