The terms night and day confused me a little. I consider myself a morning person, but a night programmer. I thrive in the early mornings, but I have all the traits described here as a night programmer.
I second what both those people said. I had a nice email exchange with him about my startup. It didn't turn into a meeting like it did for the second person, but he did help me. Also, you can find him on Reddit as well. I have never met him in person, but from our interactions, email and Reddit, he seems like a really nice guy.
In the comment section on there someone pointed out that they knew someone who died the same way and it was a peaceful death. They just stopped breathing while in a coma. I do hope he went peacefully.
Let me ask you this. What do you do when a friend says they are on MySpace? That is exactly how I see my friends On Facebook after I make the switch to G+ over the next few months. I will still log into Facebook to see what is going on, but for the most part I am only keeping my Facebook account because I admin several pages. For now I am double posting things to FB and G+, but eventually I will stop. IMO, G+ is another social platform, just like Facebook was when there was already Friendster and MySpace. Some people with jump ship, some people will keep both accounts.
I am a contractor at HP in Roseville. While we are not associated with the WebOS team, there have been talks here about layoffs. I work on the HP Networking/Procurve team. We have been told that our team is being integrated with HPIT, but the problem with that is the HPIT team is on the east coast, so that means the chances of even the employees keeping their jobs is slim. All of us contractors have been warned that our contract will most likely end at the end of October. While I don't know for sure, I would guess that the WebOS team will be folded into some other HPIT team if they are willing to relocate.
I have used the iPhone GUI PSD Version 4 several times. It does lack a map though, which i thought was in the version 3. Thanks for this resource, I have bookmarked it.
One problem that I see is that I did the "Get a taste" thing and it just spun and spun and never did anything. I am now a little apprehensive that I gave your app access to my Facebook posts.
Actually, after posting this I found an article that said that GoDaddy is selectively denying DNS requests, so they are now being crappy with DNS as well. I guess I need to move to a new registrar and DNS host.
DNS wasn't really the problem here, it was the hosting and setting up a ssl cert. I use GoDaddy for my DNS stuff and have never had any problem with them for that. Most of the horror stories come from people hosting with them.
