I find the promise of ‘unmatched personalisation’ or customisation lacklustre here. If you’re seeking something more customisable I’d suggest Quiche Browser. It’s a recent app by an independent developer that provides an experience that offers more UI customisation in a tasteful manner. Sure there are fewer bells and whistles features, but if you just want a minimal, privacy conscious browser that can adapt to you it may be worth a shot.

I’ve been having a frustrating time with the iOS 15 Beta 4 release of Safari lately and would love to get a more technical audience's views on some suggestions of how to improve the Safari UI. Some ideas may be more contentious with the HN demographic such as removal of SSL iconography and domains but would value feedback and love to hear about your experience of Safari in iOS 15.
I'm saddened to see others in exactly the same camp as myself having also written about this the other week (https://joshcollie.com/articles/zucked/). Fortunatetly I have an Oculus Rift S and can maintain usage with my Oculus account. As far as I'm aware it will still be in a usable state come 2023, albeit with no social features.
As much as the Oculus hardware is fairly good I would highly recommend seeking alternative providers of VR hardware.
