Thanks for letting me know, this is really one of my biggest concerns right now so it’s great hearing from someone who actually transferred their inbox in the same way I intend too :)

Thank you all for helping me find a new email service! Based on what I’ve read here I’m considering either Proton or Fastmail but I will research them a bit before I decide. Thank you everyone for taking your time to help! :)

This is a question I’ve struggled with a lot myself. From my 15 years of experience as a contractor:

1. Never lower your rate, bringing it back up will be way harder then you might think.

2. Breaks etc. are billable. I even bill for walks that may be a long an hour, as long as I think about work. If I stop doing that I stop the clock too. Like others said, code is just the end result. I will usually produce better if I take a breather. Thinking things through will almost always let you find ways to write less code, resulting in a more stable and maintainable solution. Nothing suggests you think better while seated infront of your screen.

3. Always round up to the next hour.

Thank you! This is one of the things I’ve contemplated greatly and I will definitely look into that project. I have some concerns about this approach but maybe taking a closer look at such projects will leviate them. If you have any other examples they would be greatly appreciated! ^^

Thank you for reply!

Getting an investor is a long shot for us so I’m not expecting it. The application has the potential for services around it, but such services would be expensive and the hope is to pitch that as a potential for return.
