Paleo diets happen to be high protein and low carb. Protein is the most satiating macronutrient and carbs are the least. This type of diet is effective because macronutrient ratio it makes it easier to have a calorie deficit and not be hungry.
Not a scientific benchmark, but I have a linode that has 8 cores before and after that just finished its upgrade. Previously it was consistently using just under 5/8 CPUs and is now using a ~2/8 CPUs with the same in/out traffic.
Focus point of the large camera should be the exact center of the image. The center of the ball is a little out of focus as the center of the image is the top left of the ball. User Error :)
They did hire Marc Levoy. I have been hoping for this for awhile. Can't wait for the next iteration. There are certain things you can't replicate with just a single tiny camera, but they are doing a great job!

I did a quick comparison of a full frame slr vs moto x with this lens blur effect. I tried to match the blur amount, but made no other adjustments. Work really well compared to everything else I have seen!

Compare HTC's bokeh or any other attempt at this vs Google's and you will see that there is definitely a difference in how the out-of-focus areas are rendered.
Google has hired the developer of SynthCam, which is IMO the most interesting computational bokeh app. Combine that with the ability of the mems system and a fast image sensor to capture images at every focus point and estimate depth based on what is in focus in each image. You can then pick what you want blurry and what you want in focus and even how blurry you want the blurry parts to be. I hope they can make this all seamless in the nexus 5.
iphone battery size isn't much compared to android phones, but they are constantly on top of the web browsing battery life tests in spite of this. disappointing that the 5s was a small step backward here.
http://www.recipepuppy.com/ is what I made to search for recipes that use ingredients you already have. It lacks the shopping list functionality though.
I realize this won't ever work perfectly for every type of dish. But the dishes I have tried using the given ratios have all come out much better then my previous unaided versions of the same dish.
The ingredient database I am working with definitely needs an overhaul. The original focus of this db was matching ingredients broadly, and that is now becoming a major problem.
I think the ingredient database you are looking for is http://www.ingredientpairings.com/. This brings forward more of the broad matching ingredient problems though. When I redo the ingredient database this should be more useful.
