Au contraire to the "why are you replacing SSH" comments, I actually feel that this is really cool and you're on to something that's extremely interesting to certain kinds of hackish/pet projects :)
A good use-case I can actually imagine myself using on the get go is allowing our part-timers to whatsapp our bot for their roster and scheduling, or make plans to what kind of days they want to work.
The beauty of this is that any new part-timers can come and go and with a simple server/authentication system in place it can be quite useful.
Love that it can work with Telegram too since my daily operations use both Telegram and Whatsapp.
On the analogy of the architect ... It's probably wrong to say that "it was built on a shaky foundation that will collapse sooner rather than later" and it's more accurate to say that another architect or professional engineer might not be able to understand the intent behind the drawings/plans and thus make necessary changes without compromising the building's structural integrity.
You could add a 1 second splash count down whenever they open the app from multi tasking, and a simple payment can disable that. It's not an ad. Just a countdown timer with an unlock feature. For a typical user, it wont be that big of a pinch, but for power users who cycle between apps and check back it could be worth monetizing.
Once again you're not putting ads, you're just exercising your right to monetize something you built ;)
OR if there are premium features you can push out that are not ad-removal related you might stand a chance at converting 1% of your users (freemium model)
