You should turn on github pages so we can see it live. Seems cool but I’m not at my pc rn

I think rock-climbing fills a similar void for me. It's social, physical, and mental, and has a progression to it where I feel like I've gained something after every session. Plus you can take your skills outside and enjoy nature and travel with friends

I think their ads are better than chatgpt’s. I’ve seen them more recently encouraging people to “keep thinking” and use it to improve themselves

https://wordcollector.netlify.app An offline dictionary in your browser. Dictionary is pulled from the open source wordnet dataset and cached in browser as a sqlite database. Installable as a PWA as well. Working on adding a study mode to review words that you’ve looked up in the past to help commit them to memory and adding synonyms and antonyms. Plans to add multiple languages in the future so you could use this as a language learning tool as well.

I think the current way is fine but showing position on the bell curve would help for those who struggle with interpretation

I'm working on Paint Launcher (beta) – a minimalist Android home screen without icons, where you paint tappable zones onto your wallpaper instead. You can try it out now here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lukew3.pai...

I tried it on https://github.com/monkeytypegame/monkeytype and it just said ESLint and Prettier which doesn't describe much. It probably would work properly if it worked recursively or at least checked the first directories. I like the website and api option though.

Kinda mad I didn't show up when I searched my skills and location. Seems like people with those skills in their bio showed up first even though others may have more commits and their profile/repos have more recognition.

Cool project! I would probably call it an MCP server for every Github repo though since project could be confused for Github Projects which is their work planning/tracking tool.

Yes, I'd rather not share access to my private repos with an untrusted party. I would like to try it with public ones though

Kinda obvious this was written last minute haha. Basically rewriting this idea we've all heard many times. Good luck though!

Notice how gen Z is less anxious than Millennials and Gen x when it comes to losing their phone. I think that younger generations will have a better understanding of the addictive nature of phones from a young age and will learn that they will not go far if they are absorbed in their phones. My hope is that we will learn to use the easily available entertainment on our phones like we learn to use recreational drugs, with moderation and respect.

Lighten up. Cheats exist in other games but if you want to have fun, you should probably play without them.

Hi, I'm Luke. I'm a CS student graduating from the Ohio State University this December. I've done 2 internships and 3 co-ops at JPMorgan Chase & Co. where I've worked on lease application services and done React.js and Java web development. Before that I worked for a little over a year at Ohio Supercomputer Center, developing Ruby on Rails applications for high performance computing. I'm highly curious and excited about new and useful work. I enjoy making experiences that people love and solving problems. Please reach out about whatever, I'm curious to see what you all are working on!

It's an easily accessible toggle. It would be a pain to be on a website where you need to see an image and have to go find the setting toggle it, view you content , then find and toggle it again.

There should be something a UI like this but it just sources data from Wikipedia. Could just be the Abstract and allow you to open a wikipedia iframe or something. You should add this as a mode to this app

I switched to penpot for a little bit after the Adobe acquisition was announced because I figured Figma as we knew it would cease to exist. However, I found that there were little differences between the two that gave it a learning curve and I noticed that I missed little niceities in Figma. I went back to it after a few weeks and after the acquisition was revoked, I feel better about sticking with Figma. I love the company and the story behind it's creation, and plan on continuing supporting what I think is a better product. I'm happy that penpot exists though to keep Figma in check from excessively pricing their product.

If it has been illegal to sell cannabis commercially, how have cannabis companies been allowed to form and be publicly traded? I would think that federal regulation to be publicly traded would cause issues.

I made something similar a while ago. I opted for calculating a score based on the sum of distance between each of the channel values and gave users one guess. https://lukew3.github.io/color-code-tutor/
