I make ultra-large scale [32000 x 32000 pixels] abstract AI generated art and make them into NFTs. It's an ever-evolving project: I learn new things and I try to create some art with them, recent ones are now animated!

My question is very hypothetical. I've read that human brain consumes about 400-500 calories a day on average. Imagine you could somehow attach a device to body that could burn another 1000 calories. [and probably convert it to heat - forget about burning your skin and infections for now]

Do we have that kind of interface? Can we power an implant using energy stored in fat cells?

Of course, but I am asking about an "interface" that can attach to body [surgically] and use the energy stored in fat cells. Like a constant "power leak" - the primary concern would be weight loss, with the side-effect of being able to use that power for something useful.

I appreciate the out of the box thinking here, but the idea is to have some sort of way to have some form of organ that artificially consumes a lot of energy, passively. The same way that your heart or brain consumes energy. "Glucose Biofuel Cell" was another answer here which is more aligned in what I am thinking of.

Yes, thank you. That is the sort of thing I am thinking about. This article [0] talks about it. I think one should create something that use the body as a glucose fuel cell but can consume a lot of energy.

Nice job. I wish there were a couple of *.PDF file templates somewhere to use this. The demo is great but the actual files are necessary in my opinion. Great work though.

I've made an NFT project closely related to What3words - I've been giving away a few to friends for free but exactly ZERO people have actually bought one so far!

Hi,

I've been experimenting with NFTs for a while, many people would say most of it is not true "art". I decided to make something a little more meaningful with them. My understanding is that you will either love it when you see this or you would just hate it. Launched this yesterday and I've received some early orders from friends so far. I've been also giving some away as I think this makes a great present for the right person. This is pretty much an NFT-as-a-Service for now!

I make electronic music. 7 years ago, in a very sad period of my life, I made a classical piece of music, (From midnight to 4am) which I am very proud of it today. It would make me really happy to get some feedback from you guys if you know a thing or two about music. It tells a very personal story and here is the link to it:

Yesterday while I was taking a shower, I had an idea for a new startup. So I bought a new domain name and while my order was being processed, I created a small website for it!

Today I am launching it! Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing DealFlow - a platform for connecting investors to startups.

I see this and I immediately think of "trash sorting" at ultra high speed. If one can combine this with a bunch of accurate (laser precision) air guns, to shoot and move individual pieces of trash you can sort through a truck load of trash in a matter of seconds, perhaps in the air while they are being dumped! compare this approach with how we are currently doing it [0] - Somebody should get Elon Musk on this project right away!

Hi, I was browsing HackerNews for Self Hosted software, where I saw that one of the links was broken and pointed to a very depressing page. I thought it would be immoral of me not to share it here. Maybe somebody can help him? Sorry to bother you all but I think this is important.

Installed it. Works great! The only missing feature for me is 1-Undo and 2-Font Weights (Like 300,700)

Thank you for doing this. This is perfectly usable and very high quality.

Yes. Of course. Most of the problems with Wordpress websites are because of bugs in programs written in PHP. When you no longer serve PHP and are just serving a bunch of HTML/CSS files then there is nothing left to hack. (unless you want to target the webserver [such as Apache, etc.) but 9/10 times it is some sort of an outdated software or just some previously unknown bug in some plugin. Less attack surface, more peace of mind.

What we really need is a good static output generation built-in wordpress that actually works and downgrades successfully. Instead, the team decided to work on a page builder (Gutenberg) which was/is far behind Elementor and the rest. Static generation is an absolutely essential feature in my opinion for having the peace of mind regarding security. I tried EVERY SINGLE one of the static generation plugins out there for a client project (avada theme/elementor/wpml) and none of them worked. (But apparently they do work if you use the SaaS version, not tried it myself)

So I guess Automattic will not solve it as it would hurt their wordpress.com business and if somebody comes up with a good static generation option will just turn into another SaaS offering.
