I don’t think much of them will be inclined to since information and “knowledge“ will be easily available via a prompt in any LLM. They won’t care to know what’s going on under the hood of anything. I mean, they already don’t want to and they have Google, Wikipedia and all sorts of things available to them.

The problem is that most people who vibe code or use these claims of “anyone can code now” ignore that software isn’t just a pile of code, but also documentation, tests, design documents, and several other artifacts that the “AI” (LLMs are not intelligent) needs to do anything remotely useful. And most of them will never reach the point where the use of LLMs becomes more problematic than helpful, because by then either they have a product and hired someone to deal with it or it’s abandoned and not used.

Now tell me which executives ever did the math on how remote working makes juniors take longer to learn and then took hiring decisions based on that math. This all seems good in theory, but doesn’t seem to hold out in the real world if you’ve ever worked with higher ups in your life

The company does pay per usage for something though, be it data center usage, be it water and power for their own data centers.
