Do you need an ESP32 vs an 8266? I believe the 8266’s are more energy efficient.

In either case, you can put them in a deep sleep that uses minuscule amounts of energy and can wake back up on a timer. I’d start there.

This is a very strong statement about an unreleased product in a nascent field. What are you basing it on?

Only if you’re not growing.

Gmail might be considered a resounding in-house success, for market penetration & data harvesting potential.

Works great as long as your warehouses are all downhill from eachother.

Well, Jane Street paid them to do work they presumably wouldn’t otherwise have done, and that work appears to have made it into OS.

So Jane Street’s profiting from this work is irrelevant, they paid for it and we have it.

Read the article, these are highly technical, generalized projects.

That they were paid for by an investment firm and then released as OS means _we_ siphoned value out of the financial system.

On the contrary, we need real evidence suggesting it does. Certainly the population level crash data doesn’t support it.

Tesla could call it Egre-MuzzFlorp and it wouldn’t matter. The surveys showing people think “autopilot” means “can drive itself” were fatally flawed, in that they were done with non-Tesla owners.

OP’s insurance company can harass Tesla directly if they believe Tesla holds evidence of the true cause of the crash, which they probably do.

Have your insurance company harass Tesla. Chances are they’ll come back with a report saying “driver depressing accelerator 13.42° at time of incident overriding AEB and ignoring FCW for 5 seconds”. That’s usually how these kinds of stories end.
