I agree, I think people underestimate the need to incentivize moderators. This is why I think some kind of cryptocurrency based solution to moderation is necessary.

I wonder if you could use prediction markets (is this bad? yes or no) and incentivize people to moderate using some sort of cryptocurrency mechanism.

What about staking? In this case, you're providing a service to the network and being compensated for it.
