I prefer taking 10-15 mins in the morning to plan my day. This includes both work and non-work activities. I believe that if this micro-practice of reflecting on tasks, priorities etc. becomes a habit, then for me the at the macro level things begin to fall into place automatically.
Also I prefer good old pen/pencil and a notepad over any software but you could do this any way you like. I always have a pen and notepad lying on my desk. I write lots of different things down like due dates for bills, upcoming birthdays, even ideas or tasks that I do not want to forget. For ideas, tasks etc., you can at a later point rewrite from your notepad to obsidian, trello (or your software of choice).
30 years is a long time. Just out of curiosity, do you have any thoughts on the general trivia (things like flow state triggers, deliberate practice etc.) that exists in this niche?
