..the whole point is is that they don’t exist due to over regulation existing way above beyond and before net neutrality. You’ve killed them already. Try comparing some of the known freer markets in internet such as those seen in Poland, Romania.
The nonexistence of smaller ISPs at present isn’t a valid justification to continue the status quo that suffocated them in the first place.
Another Koch brothers smear piece, yawn. Everybody who liked these dudes’ facebook feed know they’re about the only two people in the country really fighting for America instead of irrationally allying along party lines, and pushing a specific party agenda when it is irrational
This url lead to an attack site on my ipad that I was only able to escape by the fortune of it having loaded in a hacker news sub windo rather than chrome. Beware
My experience in the past 10 months has been 180 degrees opposite. My friends all know I eat once daily, and when we go to a restaurant with the perfect food to double-up on and pig out, I struggle to eat any more than anyone else eating just 1 meal of 3 for the day. I definitely feel my stomach has shrunk.
I'm down 40lbs, but have been at this weight since month 2. A much more athletic friend's experiences combined with mine, we are slowing reaching the conclusion that 1x / 24hr can help with weightloss when you are 20~80lbs overweight. But once you are under that you need to start on 48 hr fasts to make progress.
And calorie dense food? Ever since my paleo days 5 years back (a 1 yr experiment) I've continually eaten much more calorie dense foods on purpose, to reach satiety with greater ease. I will never, for example, consume whole milk. I drink straight glasses of half&half for the extra fat content and calories.
HK is kind of an odd example, though, because it is a city-country. It's not like you have a "Florida" to go off to when you are old. You're either in HK itself or in a foreign country (ESPECIALLY China)
Have you been there? It's not something to look forward to. Every stinkin' place you want to go involves 45 minutes of road travel. Just because you get to zone out all the while doesn't mean your day isn't deprived of an immense amount of time.
(To put things in perspective, I'm in Austin where everything, absolutely everything, is within 15 minutes' drive, but it is a "catastrophe" that during peak hours that becomes 35-40. Working at home and driving only off-peak hours has it's perks!)
But what's your point? This is an utterly rubbish reason/excuse for America's "great cities" to remain the shame/buttholes of the world forevermore. It is the Christianity + liberalism's worship of the poor that leads to subsidized instead of market-rate (PROFITABLE) subway trips which means no money to fix or improve anything unless the money can be stolen from tax payers (instead of the rational thing --> getting it from the fricking folks who BENEFIT from the subway)....
Until we get over the age of altruism, America is doomed.
