Back in the glory days of hackathons my now-wife and I wrote a multiplayer version of pac-man where one player controlled pac-man and the other was a ghost.

We didn’t quite manage to make it fun to play but it sure was a huge amount of fun hacking it together!

Nothing more ironic than an article about conscious writing that’s entirely written by AI.

Meanwhile Mr POTUS himself wants to introduce prop betting in his social media platform.

Don’t expect anything to change anytime soon

iirc the Times ranking has always been garbage as it weighs some "student experience" metric way too high. Do I really care about the result of some online survey equally or more than the academic achievement of the staff?

Back when I chose a UK university to attend, I valued the QS ranking much higher.

It has to be a cost thing. HLS is so insanely optimised down to the hardware level that adding any kind of compute for targeting would increase costs exponentially.

I’m not too deep into it anymore but there’s some great articles from Netflix out there talking about the crazy optimisations done to their edge servers for streaming.
