How incredibly negligent and incompetent of the ucsf IT staff to not have this data sufficiently backed up, not to mention protected. Does this university offer IT courses? If so their reputation has been seriously tarnished.
The problem is China is already building the robotic assembly lines. They have been purchasing more advanced CNC machining equipment than the rest of the world combined and the volume is increasing. Their quality should continue to increase and costs decrease even as their labor begins to organize itself.
What matters in your example is where that extra money is spent, you might try to invest it in the company by purchasing new machinery rather than just wasting it on a new luxury company car (or an overseas 'business meeting'). That way if you are making a 10% return on your company/investment each year it continues to grow.
I usually leave it enabled, I just tested it when I viewed the page source and saw very little was there beyond JS. I guess I come from a different time where you used as little JS as possible/was required.
I'm also not familiar with vue so I was trying to work out if it was used to build your web page or the actual chrome app. The web page is fine but I just wasn't sure where vue came into the picture for such a simple site.
