100% agree that 40% or even more now can’t effectively deal with information, nor can think critically for themselves. It’s so politicized that you are either camp A or B (liberal or conservative). One side being ‘vaccine is the only way’ and the other is ‘vaccine unsafe, other drugs are safe’. There seems to be very little people in the middle who can say ‘vaccines are generally safe but we don’t know the long term side effects so we must look at alternatives now for those that choose not to take it or cannot take it for medical reasons’. Also it’s important for people to assess their own risk profile to make the decisions for themselves (if they decide not to take it).
> I quite like Joe Rogan, but he's not a doctor, and neither is his partner in goofydom Brett Weinstein, they have zero medical credibility on the issue, they should straight up not be talking about the drug.
By this logic, this applies to every single person that aren’t doctors who shouldn’t be talking about the vaccine or the drugs. This includes data scientists and politicians. I’ve watched Dr. Pierre Kory’s full interview with Brett and seems clips of his testimony in front of the senate. He is extremely credible and should have a voice in this as a COVID-19 critical care doctor and who has done meta analysis of the drug (https://covid19criticalcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/F...). I think people like Joe and Brett help amplify voices of people like Dr. Pierre Kory similar to politicians who amplifies Dr. Fauci
Also I know a lot of people who have taken 1 or both doses but have said if it becomes a routinely booster shots, they’ve decided their risk profile isn’t worth taking it. So we will see a decline in vaccinations if that happens. I haven’t read the latest medication approved for in-hospital covid treatment so will take a look at that.
I’ve read a few articles (not bookmarked) in Chinese that talks about it. I think if we live in a westernized country we may have limited information available to what’s happening locally at other countries.
This is just one article that talks about it. Even though it cites the Australia study that showed no big difference, it also says it’s a small sample size and due to its safe history and other studies that have shown it has positive effect, we can experiment it. Again I’m not arguing for it to be used for the light symptoms but rather the ones that are already on their deathbeds.
Curious to know why alternatives are still being suppressed as a possible treatment. We need to start talking about covid management. We wouldn’t use it for those with lesser symptoms but for those who are hospitalized who may or may not benefit, it’s worth a try. I can’t see a constant booster shot being the only solution to this.
Is it contrary or is he’s saying that ivermectin can be a good alternative to the vaccine? It still doesn’t mean vaccines don’t work, but why not authorize it (especially in places were the cases are high and hospitals are overwhelmed with a vaccine shortage, why not try?). You can skin the cat multiple ways. You’re going to have people who don’t want to take the vaccine or vaccines effectiveness is starting to drop (https://www.google.ca/amp/s/globalnews.ca/news/8003930/israe...) and we need to come up with another plan.
Thanks! I’ve been trying to find a place where people debate and discuss with less rage. Hopefully this is the place. Though I think my upvote is gone haha. I’m interested in learning about your test results!
I have a 2 year old and have a hard time accepting motherhood still. I am so happy in a different way but also so unhappy in another way. However before I had kids, I was happy but also unhappy in a different way because I wanted to get marry and have kids and wish I had them earlier. The more choices and opportunities life gives you (especially now with “you can do everything!” mentality) sometimes the more depressed you get.
Before Robert Malone gained media attention, I actually read about him in Wikipedia cited as such. I should have taken a screenshot and there probably are archives but over the next couple days when his name became bigger, I re-read Wikipedia and it was removed. So I went and read his earlier papers in the 8/90s about it
I don’t think they’re denying that vaccines do not work at all. Have you watched their interviews or listen to their podcasts? They’re quite long but they are challenging the fact that vaccines aren’t the only way out and we need to consider alternatives and one of that alternatives is ivermectin. If you want to reach herd immunity, you want people to get immunity through different means (like getting vaccines and getting covid but with lesser symptoms. Im not saying go out and get covid but people are already getting covid and we need to lower their chance of hospitalization).
Not at the moment. I’ve been struggling with this really hard but have decided to wait. I WFH, don’t really have contact with many people, have good hygiene and in generally good health. I’m in my early 30s and am looking to get pregnant this summer. The risk of GETTING covid first and then hospitalization or death in my age group is low. Taking the vaccine is a 100% event with a small % of side effects. The side effects can effect women (short term at the least) so I am not looking risk family planning. I have a young child but they are at even lower risk of developing problems from covid (shes healthy). I don’t have any underlying illnesses.
As well, I’m not comfortable with the fact that THIS is the only way out of the pandemic. I’m waiting also on the ivermectin clinical trials (and others) to be “official” despite many studies have confirmed it reduces covid symptoms. Vaccines have become so political that I am with another poster here where I don’t want to be pressured to make a hasty decision on my health when I’ve done a lot of research and have taken my own risk based decision.
Doesn’t mean I’ll never get it but everyone says to make a data driving decision and I’ve made mine on the data we have right now.
