This is really unethical, replacing original app shortcuts breaks trust.

> how the major airlines now are more of a "bank that happens to have planes"

Here is a decent video explaining it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggUduBmvQ_4

No keyboard backlighting is itself a dealbreaker for me.

I have been misdiagnosed and taken wrong medicine for 4 years for a problem by a top specialist, the doctor kept making up reasons on why I'm not getting better.

By luck I consulted with another specialist due the former doctor not being available at and odd time, and some re-tests help determine that I need a different class of medicines. I was better within months.

4 years of wrong medicines and over confidence from a leading doctor. Now I have a tool to double check what doctor has recommended.

This is just bad PR from Indian government. Communication minister clarifies the app is optional https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/technology/tech-news/tel...

Reuters/BBC have been famous to pounce and sensationalizing.

Learnt this from a cxo few years ago and this has certainly helped - to be able to make time for yourself, every workspace task should be a calendar entry.

Not surprised that Nestle behaves unethically.

I've become lazy after google translate app started translating from camera directly without even taking pictures. I've purchased online some Chinese products in past with not a letter of English on them but was able to read in seconds with Translate and camera.

And where is this?

A strategy you can follow is - Start with not budging to tell the number in your mind. There is typically a range of salary defined for each level. Let them make the first move where the recruiter will typically start with low or mid (if you did very well in interviews) value in the range. Negotiating 10-20% higher than that can be a tactic but avoid being too pushy.

My experience has been hiring managers defer this to recruiters within the company simply because its not their job, and also may not have the authority.

Exactly, then I should be able to see that my tax calculations include only my salary and I can fill in rest of the things to get additional deduction. Infact everyone would be able to see what IRS knows and what it doesn't and deductions taken into account etc. How is it not better?

Microsoft is manager centric. Even when they tried to move away from bell curve, it led to more power in the hands of manager by giving them the budget.

Just saying Instagram has become relevant outside of pure entertainment as well.

Slightly digressing, thought atleast in India, Instagram has started catering to a lot of serious businesses especially startups. If you want to market, go to Instagram.. Well Tiktok has been banned but it was never taken here as a serious platform by businesses.
