I don't think that's the point. The point is that if you outsource thinking to a machine, you will lose your ability to think and reason on your own, and overtime become a worse engineer. Maybe the software ai writes will be fine, idk... But eventually, you will be an objectively worse engineer than someone that doesn't need a machine to think and write for them.

Okay so circa 2011 it was powering some labs. Don't think there are many/any frontier labs in 2026 running ps3's, or at least no one has provided any evidence of that still..

how does the ps3 hack "power many a lab"?

Genuine question/not a critique-are you actually reviewing all that code or just sending it and hoping for the best? I just can't imagine someone is reading/reviewing that much code every day, but maybe I'm wrong?

I still just explicitly approve all actions and review all code (unless it's a personal/throwaway project no one else will ever touch/use/see). I know a lot of people that run in a sandbox though. That said, I'm sure there are lots of people that just yolo it and hope for the best.

What exactly is the car equivalent in this analogy? Codeberg is not a car if you're saying GitHub is the horse. Just doesn't really make sense to compare the two like that...

Isn't this pretty much the entire point of the article.

Yea I used the kinesis 360 for a short time but couldn't stand how cheap it felt. Such a big difference from nicer custom keyboards, and it's essentially the same price which is a shame.

I'm big into the custom mechanical keyboard hobby (not that that makes my opinion special or anything, ha) and I definitely agree. It's funny, cus a lot of people in the hobby see the Model M as their "holy grail" keyboard. But the more modern keyboards are just so much more comfortable to type on for extended periods of time (whether they are 'ergo' keyboards or not). It's all personal preference, but I think a lot of the love for the Model M is just nostalgia.

Interesting, yea I think that makes sense. Well, that's a bummer if that ends up being the case!

Still way better than what many companies do in the US regarding inflation adjustment...

Is there actually a reliable way to differentiate human from bot?
ryan_n

I thought the goal was to only charge agents a fee, which would either 1. stop agents from scraping your site non-stop and eliminate the need for a captcha, making the human experience better or 2. make the owner of the site some money in exchange for a bajillion bots scraping their content.

Maybe that's too optimistic though based on the responses in this thread.

> To gain Godot's level of indie marketshare, a single breakout engine project that embraces vibecoding could be enough.

What are you basing this off of? There are already plenty of game engine projects like what you describe here. Doesn't seem to have affected Godot thus far, unless I'm missing something.

Just read the study... It was not inconclusive, they found that HIIT was the most effective level of exercise intensity to improve body composition in the ages of people that were studied. It just wasn't a meaningful improvement over medium intensity.

That is a conclusion.

> It should be obvious that Daniel's private donation to a political party is not part of Mullvad's values or mission

Why should this be obvious? I don't think that's obvious at all. The owner of a company could very easily decide to one day use their company to further their political beliefs/ideologies (see: Twitter, FaceBook, etc..). Why would Mullvad be any different?

Yea I find a lot of stories on the web about doctors misdiagnosing things to have oddities like this that don't seem to make sense. It often seems like the author is leaving something out. Not saying OP is lying, but tb is a very, very weird conclusion to come to from just one radiology report...
