I could sort of imagine plausible reasons for that, but not allowing sim pin seems… nonobvious.

MDM is the worst part of iOS. It undermines all of apple’s security claims, basically making iOS windows. Devices should not be able to be remotely controlled.

Wait, are you saying leadership at those institutions (say the Washington post) secretly want to help Trump while appearing to be aligned against him, because of say the Zionism angle or like maybe Bezos wants a president that will lower his taxes? If so, that’s not a thing many ears would be able to hear here. More parsimoniously, perhaps the journos and pundits crying wolf (to discredit Trump’s critics) are acting alone. It only takes a few, because real idiots on the internet will latch on to the farcical nonsense and amplify it further. It doesn’t mean NYT/WAPO stand for false flags, it just means they have some political actors within them using plausibly deniable attacks on Trump to help him because they are for lower taxes/zionism/etc…

I wish there was an investigation but the CCP blockaded any inquiries, going so far as removing the computers and not cooperating with international authorities. /s

Just because most of critics are brain dead morons doesn’t mean Trump is a great guy or above the same level of scrutiny shown to previous presidents.

What people deem to be subjective is very often subjective. You disagreeing simply proves the point.

Ever had a CTA or other plaque study done? Athletes have plaque often, but so do stoners. Supposedly stoned plaque is stickier and thus more deadly.

Why don’t you go elsewhere?

Strange conclusion to reach. Taxes are generally assessed periodically (annually for income, property taxes, etc…). Time is money. The tax assessor always comes back for more, as long as there is more to tax.

Courts do award higher damages, specifically punitive damages, to punish and deter wealthy or large corporate defendants. In civil law, the defendant's net worth is a recognized legal factor because a small penalty on a massive corporation wouldn't incentivize them to change their illegal behavior.

I feel you but are you possibly conflating civil and criminal justice? Tickets don’t scale with net worth of defendants, but class action penalties often do.

When we killed Kennedy. That was the point we should have admitted being the bad gays.

Why assume it wouldn’t sell shares? If the state can take 5% ownership, it can sell that 5% for profit, and come back for another 5% next year. Ideally the rules on when to sell would be systematic, or made by a neutral bipartisan committee of advisors, but I suspect maybe it would be just be up to the treasury (like the crypto it now holds).

But we have AI now to guide us and it will help ensure we prevent most major ecological miscalculations. The context is different now, given the change in the cost of planning and research into ecological side effects, unlike anything we had in the past.

> patriotism and pride

You realize nationalism is the source of all evil in the world, right? Is Brin even a citizen?
