This is exactly what I wondered while reading this. I would be very interested to see a study to see if this was still present with eye movement in vision impaired people.
I have often thought about tagging pictures of someone else as me on a consistent basis. Maybe request others to do it as well. Say, always tag me as a friend, and my friend as me. Has anyone done any sort of experiment/testing to see if this would have an impact on their face recognition accuracy?
