I too would like to know about GP's roaring rampage of revenge arc against the NY Times.

Adding to what you wrote the NES was front loaded because it was designed to look like a VCR because they thought that aesthetic would sell better in the U.S.

I don't know why we are making this arbitrary distinction between Mario games and Donkey Kong games.

But if we are the main Mario franchise games are the "Super Mario" games. Donkey Kong is not part of the "Super Mario" series and his "Mario" is not "Super" .

Anthropic has discontinued models in as little as 13 months from launch so if you do business with them switching can't be that big a deal?

If you're doing such amazing things why the need to gush about Minecraft tweets?

But nobody has nailed "this is a game anyone wants to play" or "professional game development life cycles are shorter" so it's not particularly impressive.

I'm still waiting for any evidence of LLM economic impact in the real world.

How can the AI solve a medical mystery?

I suppose if it says something like "Eat more broccoli" and the suggestion works you can assume the answer is accurate.

But for me it's more likely to say "maybe you have xxxx" and I would still need to see a specialist to do tests like colonoscopies to know?

I suffer from one condition with no cure and little literature and every once in a while I've seen on a related subreddit I no longer read "I'm using AI you guys and this AI SLOP will surely help!!!"

"Some idiot on Twitter did a game tech demo" has been a thing since, like GPT 3.5 or 4.0?

On the other hand on this web site at least I think people ask questions passive aggressively at times.

Instead of honestly saying "I think you are wrong because..." they passive aggressively pretends they are "just asking questions."

Of course on non controversial topics a question is likely to just be a question.

Vanguard has 12T under management so you believe any PDF they put out 12 times more?

I plug a wireless keyboard into my client device for these situations though it does add clutter to the room.

Dualsense's main advantage is the built in trackpad and gyroscope but if you want to play wirelessly you are probably better off switching to the Steam Controller at this point which also has a trackpad and gyroscope. Or if using Windows standard Xbox controller if you don't need a trackpad or gyroscope, as Xbox controllers have first class support.

> can get 4K HDR 120Hz running over gigabit Ethernet without visually sacrificing too much on bitrate,

While I agree game streaming can work well, in practice on a modern game the frame rate will vary if you try to get 4k hdr 120k and I don't believe a game stream can use variable refresh rate. In practice what do you do if playing a modern AAA game? Do you set the frame rate to a locked 60?

I used to do game streaming but ended up buying a 50 foot HDMI cable and USB and ethernet to link two rooms. One advantage of this is I don't need to worry about what frame rate to set the stream at and my Xbox adapter (or any adapter really) can be used natively on USB without worrying about controller compatibility over Ethernet.

You didn't say whether you were using the App but the App's performance seems to be severely throttled compared to API.

> nor did he know about it

I'm not loving this turn of phrase. Seems very Weasel-worded. Did not know about it according to who? I think we need a better news source.

How is it the most accessible way when stories are paywalled?

What good is a "range of references" if the higher quality references are not accessible to the AI?

You also claim readers want "want headlines and bias confirmation" but AI is very well known to engage in sycophancy.

I don't know about Opus but I can tell you with Gemini the subscription product OCR is apparently not done by the model. It used a separate old fashioned OCR tool and gives bad results in my tests.

But with Gemini the API the model does do the OCR resulting in much better accuracy.

When you make specific claims about a statute you were apparently too lazy to read, then respond with basically “I read the committee notes and surely if the statute was bad, it would say so and/or nobody can ever know what the statute does” when someone discusses the statute, whatever you are doing isn't “epistemological humility.”
