Airbnb is so confusing for me because of this. I find the per night price easier to think about.

>But, some of the most fun games in the world were made 30 ago.

This is true for every entertainment medium. Time filters out all the crap made so your left with a few timeless hits. Especially 30 years ago and in gaming?

Though to pick on 1996 , I just looked it up, that was a pretty crazy year of games in hindsight.

What crisis and engagement tuning are you referring to?

It's not impossible, but on top of all the other stresses in life you need to sit down and figure out this new problem too? You have got to at least sympathize with the situation. I know I've regressed on phone use since my child was born.

I have no idea what your trying to say or what point you're trying to make.

Wyh can't it be something like I don't want you to end up like me? I don't think it's hypocritical

Changing habits is hard enough on it's own.parenthood and modern life makes that even more difficult

You really think your life is better than 2 years ago because of AI chat bots?

If AI went away tomorrow idk if my life would meaningfully change

At least 5-10 years. Like my whole career.

The llms usually remind me of how corporate people talk

Where are you all successfully looking for jobs? Indeed was even worse then LinkedIn.

Though LinkedIn really pissed me off a few weeks ago when it popped up something saying I shouldn't apply for a job because it doesn't match my profile well.

That's a corporate phrase that predates the current llm stuff along with things like ping, circle back, table that

I don't think a career switch is really as simple as go do anything you want.you need a skill, and need to go through the entry level pipeline again. You also need too find it interesting like the other commenter mentioned. Otherwise you do just end up as a cashier or something unskilled.

>so that there is dignity in the degree again.

How far back do you need to go to get to a time when degrees mattered?

Do they make good games though? Idk if game dev is like corporate software where it's already uncreative crap no one really is thrilled about.

I'm confused, do people want endless sequels or not?

This attitude seemed prevelant at Blizzard too based on a book I read (Play Nice)they wouldn't fund anything that wasn't a billionaire dollar idea.

Never ending growth and profits just seem to ruin everything

Hmm I see, that's interesting. Seems like the games industry it self is in a pretty bad state despite that

Is there really a rise in PC gaming going on? Isn't that dependent on people having PCs and hardware?

>Ranking number one no longer even guarantees you're the source the AI quotes.

I noticed Google's AI summary seems to link to seemingly obscure videos occasionally.

It Will be interesting to see what happens to YouTube once AI turns it All to text and indexes it. Efficiently viewing YouTube must be at odds with how they want you to keep watching
