Because so many #keep4o supporters on X and r/MyBoyfriendIsAI have AI girlfriends and are super invested in AI being conscious because they can NOT cut it in the real world.

there's no hope for you in your future with that fine attitude.

Agree, you're technically correct, and AI it's solving Erdos problems, even if we don't know exactly how or why. More mech interp & other research will help. https://x.com/OpenAI/status/2060451757818601808

Thanks to people being glued to social media & other rage bait machines on their phones.

AI is now much better and much more accurate than it was even a few months ago. Use Opus 4.8, etc.

Terence Tao is more credible to me than the views OP expresses in this heart felt, well intentioned but outdated essay.

Tech News and a window into the world of smart bitter men who are far less accomplished and respected than they really want to be.

The entire problem is vibe coding is only good for demos, prototyping and finding signs of product market fit without actually releasing a product into the market.

You should not release a product into the market unless you have a good enough product that can keep you and your client compliant, safe and secure - including not leaking their customer info all over the place.

Prompt injection risk, etc. are massive for agentic AI without deterministic guardrails that actually work in practice.

Stop testing in production if you're shipping in a regulated industry. Ridic!

If you're not technical, you can get someone who is after signs of p-m fit, demos, but BEFORE deployment. This is common sense and best practices but startup bros dgaf because they're just good at sales and marketing & short term greedy.

Comical.

This is part marketing, part doing God's work.

Default or mandatory gift authorship?

Distilling this.

Just prediction markets? They should be banned from all trading and active investing, period.

THIS. But the car/oil companies did do bad things like work to undermine public transport & EVs back in day. Now we have sprawling burbs & social isolation. Phones, death of 3rd spaces & church going, etc. made it worse as people stopped having bigger families, leading to even more isolation.

Yeah but has that really happened? Anthropic doesn't have the compute so everyone can switch to Claude for a couple months, get nerfed, switch back. Gemini has horrible UX.

What makes you think that? "it reads like a Claude Mythos model card that was hastily edited to be an Opus 4.7 model card"

Be brief. No one wants AI boyfriend users who drone on & on about their day.

OP. & I bet some people will want to play with it at least. Maybe it'll inspire builders to build something they themselves want.

I like it. Have you tried putting this in your LLM system prompt?

B-. OP correctly diagnoses control as a failing paradigm for frontier models like Mythos. BUT his biological solution isn't supported by data.
