Ah, the delightful Nikita Bier is featured as a success story using this tool. I was in a business incubator with this guy, he was the biggest scammer I have ever met. He took hundreds of thousands of money from the Knight Foundation for a business he never planned to build. Scrapped the company, then sold a bunch of addictive teen apps to Facebook

SAR interferometry has been used to measure increased strain in the Earth's crust and identify where earthquakes are more likely. There a lot of published work which is credible. I didn't read the paper here but if results can be confirmed using other approaches could be a valid approach.

If you search for his name on Google a lot of links are removed (in Europe).

He was kicked out of intercom for sexual harrassment: https://www.theinformation.com/articles/harassment-allegatio...

and somehow made his way back in to the company

At one level, I guess there are market efficiencies somewhere but it's depressing that this sub-industry even exists.

You've a lot less negotiation power as your visa is tied to your job, so you get paid less. You have to leave the country after 30 days if you loose your job and don't get another one.

So if you're keen to move up the US, H1B sounds amazing but then you are in quite a vulnerable position.

They appear to be appropriately named

Neri (and one of her grad students) photographed and published some of my colleagues work and passed it off as their own when I was at MIT

My colleague (another grad student) innocently showed them their work and was very open with them.
