Interesting. So Talos is both a Linux and a k8s distribution?

I am less interested in running k8s itself in Firecracker (or kata, or similar), but the pods started by it. I think there are advantages to that.

I have the same question. WeaveWorks has another project called footloose which allows docker containers to be used like VMs. Also dead.

The only other project/company (aside from Kata) promoting firecracker was Talos. But not sure if they maintain their integration still.

You confuse flexible working hours with a demand to work more than 40 hours a week (including nights and weekends).

If you (like to) work overtime on the weekend or week nights, I hope you are compensated well.

Just take into account that there’s a cap on what you can do and no amount of money will make up for that.

Current tech stack is:

The iOS-Frontend is UIKit and RxSwift. The backend is pretty lean — TypeScript, Firestore with the beginnings of PostgreSQL (with Prisma!). The recommender piece for the daily tips is Python. We also use cloud functions to run async updates (e.g. for daily updates and migrations).

Otherwise — lots of hosted services in the mix (Brave, Circle/Github, HoneyComb to name a few).

As for the future, we're exploring Flutter and a few other options to provide different experiences.
