"we have 4 engineers working on your project" (and also on 5 other projects)

Does it matter how many engineers work on supplier's side?

Supplier is tasked to deliver the project. It is up to them to figure out how many people would they need, and to manage them.

It is not about the look. There are small solid state lidars that Tesla could have used.

"assuming the self driving cars don't do something stupid"

This is a big assumption.

This requires that all cars are self-driving cars capable of complex reasoning on in-car compute without relying on network connection, as network connections can't be assumed reliable in hurricane conditions.

There is noise on LIDAR returns too. No one considers a single LIDAR point to be a collision hazard.

How about digital license plates? That change the code displayed daily. Not unlike authenticator phone apps.

Police can still use them to identify the vehicle, and verify registration, but mass surveillance and repo companies can't use them to track vehicles for more than a day OR to identify vehicles.
