I think they're painting the picture that these pensions are less sophisticated than they really are. These people are usually prior investors with stories careers themselves, not "police officers and fire fighters"[1].

From what I understand, they're using Reddit right now, but the model will apply to any text source. I'm guessing twitter is a bit too big for now... It updates every thirty minutes.
