If you read the techbique it reads like something far less remarkable being PR’d to sound like a big deal.
The fact it’s bucketing by making images of lighting and facial expressions, the fact it doesn’t natively do the video it does an image then video generates from it.
The results look really bad and samey. Doubt this would work for the actual thing they’re pitching it for.
Recently got Tetris Grand Master 4 and played it with an arcade stick insanely satisfying to play that way and with that ruleset and kinda ruined other versions/input methods for me.
Until recently it was the one single time in my entire computers livespan I would paste the curl command into the terminal then everything else would be through package manager.
Now thanks to claude code etc it's been normalized that everyones doing it and normies who shouldn't be doing it are getting used to doing it.
Said in the post, if they're savvy enough to inspect an install script they can click and download a binary for their OS, chmod +x and move to whatever bin they want.
Although really something like this you unproven you should compile it.
Having an install script that you paste into the terminal and all it does is download a binary and stick it in a folder is wild.
If your users are savvy enough to be running random scripts they shouldn't need a script to do this and if they're not savvy enough to understand how to do that then the last thing they should be doing on earth is running a random terminal command off a website.
Crazy this would be the case when the MacOS cursor has been buttery smooth and only ever lags if the entire system is about to go down even on 800Mhz G4 Titanium Powerbook this was the behavior.
There is also the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D which is a 2 lens digital version of the idea. But yeah I do think the analogue grain is doing some heavy lifting on the aesthetic side of the Nishika/Nimslo images.
Images at the top of the page are created using a Nimslo/Nishika camera [1] it's a 35mm 4 lens camera that takes all 4 shots at once so you get that satisfying rotating depth look at them.
It's really a completely different effect to just stitching a few different photos together.
Yeah I thought this was gonna be about landlords hiking the price beyond market value after 2 years. But honestly both those issues are just the apartment is deep cleaned before you move in and this person doesn't know how to or just doesn't clean their bathroom properly, not cleaning bathroom fan filter and leaves food waste out in the kitchen.
Probably would have a better experience if they hired a cleaner.
If you look at the spending of the Mozilla Foundation they most certainly do not need our support they need to spend their resources on their browser instead of frivolities.
