The "long tailpipe" concept is outdated and incorrect.

Technically I think it uses something called OpenAI OWL not Electron https://openai.com/index/building-chatgpt-atlas/ (which they extracted from Atlas, but the new app mentions it in the about window)

Presumably there are some features in the old app that will be migrated to the new app or dropped. Seems fine.

They briefly put the turn signals on the wheel which is not amazing but they’re back on the stalk now.

AC is not an issue IMO. It’s always in the same place on the screen, on auto, and I never touch it really.

That’s a physical button.

Maybe, but some political narratives are good and right and true, and others are bad and wrong and false. (I am not joking: objective reality exists and most of politics isn't subjective.)

I'm pretty sure that's a major part of this announcement? It delegates to GPT 5.5 which then uses tools.

Tesla arguably has better, more useful, and more obvious physical buttons than most cars. Most car manufacturers spray confusing physical buttons everywhere with esoteric icons and insane UX. Everything you'd want to do as a driver in a Tesla has a physical button or a set it and forget it "auto" mode.

All of those things can be recycled and almost all of them can be replaced whether or not its end-user-servicable.

All but Tesla and Rivian I think.

You don't get to choose how a particular movie was funded and who agreed to pay who in exchange for what.
wilg

That's false. You actually do pay the creators by buying their work like 99% of the time. Pretending you're fighting business structure around art financing is pure cope.

You do if you want to be seen as a good person. You can be a bad person if you want to be.
wilg

Doesn't change my point, you're generalizing from a tiny number of people to justify not paying everyone.

CarPlay is for cars with shitty software

That's what I said, but $35 USD or $50 AUD is inexpensive for a game, especially a high quality one like this.

Is it true? I looked into your claim here and it doesn't seem substantiated at all.

This is a $35 USD game.

My issue is not understanding "why people are frustrated", it's that people think that frustration entitles them to take things they do not need from artists and creators who are trying to make a living.
