Another question is whether translation from TLA to, say Haskell or Scala is on the roadmap? That would be a killer feature but I've never heard this being something that is planned for implementation.
I wonder how widespread was cancer in, say 17-18th century. Obviously there would not be much technology do diagnose it, but still, if someone has any references, that'd be of interest.

GIMP is only UI.
GEGL is actually doing the job behind it. Rewriting UI would mean to restart the GIMP project from scratch. Not that it would be a bad thing.
