Oof, imagine marrying your boss after only a month of working for him and after he repeatedly forgot your name. It's interesting how times and cultures seem so drastically different when it's only a few generations removed.

I've only read "The Idiot" by Dostoyevsky, but hearing about his personal life, that explains some of the romantic dynamics that crop up in that book.
