One day it will be impossible to commit a crime, large or small without getting caught. Everything will be recorded and subjected to the same detached, beauracratic process. I can't think of a more Orwellian yet likely situation. Anyone who opposes the rapidly emerging status quo can easily be silenced by digging up some past crime of his. There's crime and there's crime. Everybody commits minor offences sometimes but if nobody knows about it, does it really matter? Once it's known to law enforcement, however, it's hard for them to ignore.
Well it will probably be an arms race between time, money, and efforts to mislead all data aggregation. Dealing with paid ideologues will be more difficult and harmful. With the past years hacks I don't see our databases being free of fouling.
After seeing how eager such a large percentage of the population has been during Covid to completely destroy any and all individual rights and freedoms...yeah. Authoritarianism is in style with the youth. This won't end well.
