If you read the articles you’ll need a browser anyway, so just use a web browser.

I recommend using Hack on iOS. Technically you can use it on macOS as well.

I just made /ask into a homepage icon so on my iphone home screen I have a HN 'App' button, but it just opens safari here.

I wasn't aware of web version is working very well on mobile too. I'm considering to use it.

I use Inspector/Element tab on Chrome devtools to read hackernews.

I use Octal on iPhone and Modern on my MacBook.

I'm using Octal too, trying to decide worth to upgrade paid version or better alternative.

I paid for it (i think 5$) and it serves me well every day. I like it.
