Whenever I pull up Hacker News in the evening in the Pacific US, it's a complete dead zone. I'm not at all surprised that 6:00 to 11:00 AM PDT is peak time.
Best time is when you find an interesting link to share.
TLDR:
> For a normal technical post, I would start with Tuesday through Thursday, roughly 14:00 to 17:00 UTC. That is 7am to 10am Pacific and 10am to 1pm Eastern. It lines up with when the US technical audience is awake and active.
That's basically four 3-hour chunks of time in a week.
