I’m waiting for graphics cards to be accessible again so we can do ML generative art, music, and multimedia at home and implode the cloud for anything but storage and recovery of algorithmic libraries that regenerate seeds.

Sorry/not sorry but I’m sick of this bizarre startup fetish for syntax art and finance as usual.

The algorithms are public domain. It’s still feudal property ownership. We call caste cohort now, having conjured another abstraction to confuse the rubes.

We send kids to college to define statistical objects of unknowable information network effects in many contexts to keep them busy. We’ll probably just morph to supporting the logistics network in the abstract. I can see teens and 20-something basically nationalizing that approach once enough old people die. It’ll all be boxed up behind tidy APIs

I think it would be interesting to do away with the concept of legal personhood for everyone. Alabama got rid of marriage, making it a private spiritual thing. Why not atomic identity in self and the few we really WANT to let in?

I can be a socially amenable person without a legal status. We’d still police and service the usual.

The story of “I did this…” is entirely bullshit these days. 5% hunt still. It’s all modern logistics. Why the redundant finance network? How many distributed ledgers do we need?

Even in paper form, the value of currency is coupled to abstract belief in a national identity.

It’s unsurprising it was found to be self-defense.

But he’s still a dipshit for LARPing GI Joe.

Would other people have pointed guns at him if he stayed home?

Not violated laws transporting weapons across state lines without an immediate threat to his life?

Escalating a situation like he did should have seen him shot like an animal by police.

Would have happened too if he was brown or mentally ill.

America is a moral relativist wasteland.

Entropy is an unstoppable force. The churn to save our past ways is the problem.

We don’t need industrial pipelines for everything.

Centralize logistics of biological necessity, privatize self exploration.

We should only industrially build industrial machines we need, and personal gadget fetishism can go in the bin.

Our wealth is a mathematical quagmire. No one knows who owes what really, and Dick Cheney was saying the quiet part out loud before Trump: deficits don’t matter.

It’s an emotional boondoggle. Future people will renegotiate or blow ourselves up.

To often we see procedure propriety as government interference in free society

Which is it?

Maybe social utilitarianism is all there is?

Maybe the rest is just being left alone. Formal demands by churches their flock act as social missionaries and stewards to save others souls being LARPed in a secular world.

Why do I have to care about inside these machines and not just the machines (organic or synthetic)?

There are separate needs due to physics that we cannot let our imaginations of unfettered freedom disabuse us of.

That will lead to mistrust; if moral relativism is fine for anti-vaxxers, why not open hostility? My biology cannot control itself in all situations.

We don’t let a chainsaw wielding psycho live in his own world. That’s based on real world observation of the outcomes.

How is viral transmission that can be measured physically, even though it requires some specific tools, be considered any less violent towards others than a chainsaw wielding knob? Our evidence comes from the same observable space as our evidence a chainsaw wielding knob is unsafe.

Philosophical wankery does not change the physical truth.
