I'm currently working on https://beontimer.com a free timing app for running and cycling races.

It started off because I wanted to see if I could print QR codes on a piece of paper and use these to detect people crossing a lap if finish line.

That proved more difficult than I thought, the QR codes were not easy to scan from far away and while moving. It is still in alpha stage.

What does work is a simple manual mode for people to use at their races.

If you just want to refine your current resume for a specific job, you can try my app https://aycabtu.com for free.

I also encountered this, I advised users to use the free export as pdf function in their account.

Nice, this sound almost the same as my solution. Looking for a job and then building an app just how you would like to have it for yourself :)

I try to use a pdf upload to gather info more easily for a user (eg from LinkedIn). Maybe you can incorporate that also?

Currently working on a simple timing website for running and cycling race organizers. A manual 'just press a button when someone crosses the finish line' is already there, but now I'm experimenting with a printable QRcode that contestants have to wear. Once the QR code crosses the line, the time is registered. All within the browser, so no apps need to be installed.

After some user feedback I changed the flow in my app. Now it is possible to directly generate an Optimized resume, a Motivation letter or Interview tips. All of these can be edited and exported to a pdf. I do struggle with the UI, I have the feeling it is not simple enough. Any tips would be more than welcome!

While looking for a job, I encountered the trouble that is called ATS. Nobody sees your resume if it is not 'approved' by an automated system. So I decided to build a tool to optimize my generic resume for a vacancy, ATS and company culture.

Although n=1, I do have the feeling it works ( but that could also be the IKEA coginive dissonance)
