As a bootstrapper who is fortunate enough to be able to finance and dedicate my time to creating and developing my own products, I still follow a very strict rule: I do not spend money that I do not need to. Approach every new idea or product as though you have no money.
When I was a young songwriter, I didn’t posture by threatening to create; I used my resources and I built. There is no need to posture with threats of 'going to market.' There is, however, very real opportunity in simply building—even if it is crude to start.
If you know you have something—whether it is a demo or in early form—have it functioning and keep developing it in real-time. This is your human archive. This is your real-time intent and purpose. That is ability through flow and action; the pieces then present themselves.
