McDoubles were popular with skinny guys who had a hard time putting on weight. One would stuff their faces with calories and hit the weights in order to do get bigger and it would be very hard if a guy didn't get in enough calories. So that's why a calorie dense item like a McDouble would help. However, that's changed with McDonald's increasing prices such that you aren't getting protein bang for your buck. Now, as one poster had already stated, you get a better deal (monetary and nutritional) with chicken, milk, lentils, beans, whole wheat pasta and eggs.
Not what I expected at all. I would guess that college students would prefer taking notes electronically rather than writing with traditional pen and paper.
No way - I am very surprised to see Lubbock that high. I suppose people are taking a liking to the flat cotton fields and occasional dirt storm? I live here, just uncertain how the city performed that well.
Oh RadioShack, I hardly knew ye. I do regret getting that crappy Virgin Mobile smartphone, which was the only thing I bought ever from a RadioShack. RIP in pieces.
Holy hell - I thought this was the same company I applied to a while ago for a position because the location is the same. It turns out it's not and I am glad. $1.21 is just inhumane.
I know in Lubbock something similar was in the news a while. It had more to do with city health code violation than anything else and the matter seemed to die down. It's interesting because a church was doing the feeding and I didn't think the city would do such a thing considering how conservative and religious this city is. I rather see the food being eaten rather than being thrown away. I have nothing against the homeless except for the rare ones who get angry when I say I will buy them food rather than hand money over. There's also Tent City here in the 806 which is a congregation of homeless who sleep in tents and I haven't heard much trouble there. Now the homeless in San Francisco are a different story. I didn't want to believe it since SF is such a lovely city but damn, the homeless there are aggressive as hell. That's just my experience though.
Wasn't there something similar that came out in 2012 called Celery? It seems to me Carrot is a little late to the game. Either way, please shut up and take my money.
I agree - I didn't want to believe there would be a bad program out there but Coding House is one. I won't stand by and let Coding House get more money. I wanted to let the coding bootcamp community know as well because of the bad PR towards bootcamps because of Nick and Coding House.
