This I can definitely agree with

My brother in christ, please, reading comprehension. The opening quote is saying that a child's formative years will decide how they turn out.

The content children in Asia are exposed to seems to be entirely different in nature. For instance, with Tiktok: it intentionally pushes brainrot content for western users, while in China it pushes educational and in general positive content. Speaking only from what I've read on the subject, and I'm entirely willing to accept that I'm wrong about that, but the point remains that the screens aren't the issue, it's the content on them that is.

Ohhh that makes a lot more sense. Well, their implementation doesn't, but it makes sense that grids were mistaken for QR codes.

I think it's fantastic. Nice, simplistic, loads quickly, no ads, great letter.

I don't necessarily like that it lacks a dark mode, but ultimately there's very little to complain about here. It accomplishes what many other websites only wish they could.

It's for detecting porn? I genuinely don't get it. I regularly post actual nudes on discord and never so much as a warning, crazy that a chessboard or grids are doing it. I wonder what makes an algorithm view a grid pattern as pornographic.

I'd argue what little I'm bringing to the conversation is still more substantial than anything in the article, which seems downright delusional to me.

Some people may not trust vibecoded projects with their entire filesystem if they don't know how much human review the code has underwent. Worst-case scenario could be a catastrophe.

Unless the title is sarcasm, I highly doubt the article is worth reading

This is what drove me to get a PS5. My xbox one would have 30 minute updates nearly every single night, and it doesn't allow you to access anything on the internet unless you let it do the updates. It was always inevitably at 7 or 8pm, when I'm trying to wind down after a day of work and just watch a show or a movie or something. It was a constant interruption to my daily routine - I like my shows before bed.

And then sometime in the last year and a half or so it became nearly unusable, constant crashes, poor performance, it was just such a constant pain in my ass. Feels like Microsoft just don't give a shit.

So you're just going to gloss over all the rest of the very valid points he's making?

Why is that a bullet point under "What's not done"? It's confusing in that context, almost as if an AI wrote it and then it wasn't looked over.

I'm not that commenter, but I feel like you wouldn't have to de-slop the project if it wasn't slop to begin with.

What on earth are you even talking about

go.fuck.your.self would be a pretty good one
