We are building technology for a low trust society because we flooded the internet with systems that optimize for scale instead of accountability
Bots scrape everything AI summarizes it reposts it and now nobody knows what is original what is verified and what is manipulated so I dont know where this is going
I’d be careful encouraging everyone to use archive links.
Aside from being packed with ads and sketchy popups, they’re not officially partnered with the publisher, so it doesn’t really help the people who produced the work
If the goal is fewer captchas and no bot, there are sites/apps like Spread that work with publishers directly and focus on human verification instead of just routing traffic through mirrors. Please support this kind of platform instead
Since you'll hit paywall with Wired, I highly recommend using Spread instead of Archive since easier to navigate and they also have an app. Try it out and thank me later
You can bypass paywall from Wired through Spread since they're one of the many publishers they partnered with. It's totally free. Just copy and paste the link. They also have an app
If people are offering $10K to stop their own camera from sending data to Amazon, that’s a huge red flag. So Amazon server is not even that secure afterall
