The round is still open, Amazon is funding in tranches, and Sam doesnt get all the cash until he hits unknown metrics. Sounds like a down round.

Why would Amazon want to invest in AI, which would help their customers find what they want to buy, when they make all their profit from showing their customers what they don’t want to buy with monetized search?

There is no “tax break.” It’s unlawful for me not to buy health Insurance for my employees (more than 50) and you aren’t allowed to shop the open market if you work for me. Average cost per employee is $1150 this year (up about 11% over last year). Thanks Obama.

i was so excited for the holiday update this year but it completely ruined my model y driving experience. had one of my UI designers presented to me an interface mockup including multiple black icons on a black background, i would have made them present these designs to the entire company so that they could be laughed at and mocked by everyone. such design sins are so bad they must be confronted with public ridicule and shaming.

You used Upwork as your credit card processor. Then the processor told you that your customer was basically using a stolen credit card. It’s completely reasonable for Upwork to take these funds back from you. And it’s completely reasonable for you to call “Robin” and demand he pay you back directly.

I employ 105 people in five countries. 30 in the UK. Feel free to renegotiate your contract when asked to work long hours whilst I contact my recruiter to replace you.

They work that long to win. Do you want to win? Or do you want to lose? Business is fundamentally a competition.

Never ceases to amaze me how friggin lazy and entitled are the British when it comes to being told they need to work long hours. It’s a high growth startup. They are vesting you with stock. Hell yes you need to come in on weekends, bruv.
