Not sure why you're so antagonistic. I don't know you or how you live your life, but as an unsolicited advice, perhaps you could have a moment of introspection. Cheers!

For what it's worth, I've never owned a console of any kind in my life, but I would really like to own a Steam Deck.

Though I could buy the Steam Deck now, I am eagerly waiting for Steam Deck 2 just to see if there are lessons-learned-improvements from the first iteration.

Org+babel is probably my favorite thing about emacs, magit being a close second.

I tried doing Literate Programming using this blog as my guide http://fgiasson.com/blog/index.php/2016/06/21/optimal-emacs-..., but I got burned out pretty quickly. I think my problem was I put literally everything in a single README.org file, and it was so taxing scrolling up and down. I might try again but with multiple org files.

Hmm, I don't get it. In the site you linked I see

"It appears @capture is not supported and @accept is supported." for Safari, Firefox and Chrome on MacOS.

I see two buttons, Choose File and Upload. Upload is just a placeholder that shows a 405 error so I'll ignore that. Choose File just lets me choose a file, but there's no option to take a picture.

What am I missing here?

EDIT: nvm I see that it only works on mobile:

Shoutout to Gitlab as well, which is what I use for personal sites.

I'm not sure if I have it, but when I searched for image examples it looked extremely gross to me.

EDIT: I seriously regret searching it now. Please don't while you still can. It is absolutely grotesque.

Thanks for the summary. I read the article and to me this is more about creating appropriate abstractions than automation.

Millions are already miserable on the slim chance that they'll overcome the people with all the guns and power and retain their sovereignty and freedom (i.e., Ukraine if that wasn't clear).

Agreed. I read through two sections (chapters?) before internally screaming "Get to the point".

Immediately went to the comment section to find a TLDR. This one helped me.

It would be interesting if this becomes a monthly hackernews post like the monthly hiring, where people with problems with their Google or Facebook or "insert Tech Giant here" account with intentionally no human customer support, would post their account problems and whatnot.

It would never happen of course, but it would be interesting.

I'm a bit confused as well.

> he paid Google something for some service and was entitled to phone support and he demanded someone help him

This does not support the conclusion about free users being the product, since the customer was paying based on the statement above.

Oh okay. So what I'm understanding from your post is that, a monad is just a way of applying the return value of one function as a parameter for another function.

Sorry if I misunderstood. I've been reading many explanations for monads, but insight seem to elude me.

> These laws can be illustrated with simple examples, and don't require any deep mathematical knowledge to comprehend.

If you could share some of these examples, or perhaps a link to those examples, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I wish I knew about this feature sooner. I've been using:

``` echo { "my": "json" } | http post localhost/endpoint ```
I use jq exclusively for parsing output. Didn't know you could craft JSON with jq as well. Thanks for the tip!
Not in my case. I watched Overlord and immediately recognized it. Didn't know it was from Norse mythology.
Interesting. This is the first time I've seen Robert Martin to be referred to as a fraud. I'd like to read an elaboration of this.
I looked around and found this video [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mb9VPWbrqmE][Uncle Bob (Robert Martin) is a Fraud!!!]] but most of the comments are dismissive of the review.
Same. What I did was to limit (minimum and maximum) myself to 1 chapter/section per day of a singular book that I decided to focus on. That way it becomes a habit.
Minimum means that I need to finish it that day no matter what.
I put a maximum because I found through trial and error that if I push myself too hard, even if a topic is interesting, I burn out quickly and procrastinate, sometimes for months, before continuing reading said book. And that is worst case scenario for me.
Well? Did the recruiter's perseverance work or not?
