"There are a lot of enterprise customers using Xcode server". And poof, it's gone and there's now only the Xcode cloud service. It would not take ages. It would take a single release which no longer supports it. Complaints? Keep using the old one or subscribe.

For me it was a key DB file inside the Photo library which Time Machine omitted from all backups and prevented me from restoring the library. Not fun.

By "one action" you mean the systematic war against 3rd party app stores and payments in the EU and elsewhere? By actions like this they made them so unappealing they basically destroyed any chance of success. Very anti-competitive and nasty behaviour, I think.

I think the article is trying to address the question from the title. Definining your own string_view workalike is probably possible, but I'm not sure if it's OK to use it in a public API, for example. Choosing to use const string & may be more suitable.

In this Better world, can Ukraine use it to defend itself? Do you see it as a nuclear deterrent, not to be touched by either side? What if Russia is already using it?

Those features are important but I think the key things are the actual games and friends. You cannot start with empty catalog and you also cannot start with older games people already own on Steam. You also need friends to be there on day 1 for multiplayer.
